Classroom Reservation
   
Q: Can a Computer Lab be reserved?
A: No. The open computer labs cannot be reserved. Computer classrooms are reservable and are located at each campus. These computer classrooms can be reserved on an ad-hoc basis for a limited number of sessions, or by the Registrar for semester-long classes.

Q: How do I reserve an Electronically-Enhanced Classroom?
A: Arlington--Call the Registrar’s Office in Fairfax at (703) 993-8375 for academic classes or call the Arlington Operations Department’s main number at (703) 993-8140 for events.

Fairfax--Up until the third week of the semester, contact your department’s scheduling coordinator. After the third week of the semester, visit http://classtech.gmu.edu/classroomreservation.cfm to schedule an ad-hoc session.

Prince William--Contact the Registrar’s Office at (703) 993-8375 or stop by their office in Occoquan room 201.
   
Q: How far in advance do I need to make an ad-hoc reservation?
A: Arlington-- Please call the Registrar’s Office at (703) 993-2441 or contact your department’s scheduling coordinator.

Fairfax-- Ad-hocs are on a first-come, first-served basis. We require three business days notice to schedule an ad-hoc, but recommend contacting your department’s scheduling coordinator in advance of the semester.

Prince William -- Contact the Registrar’s Office at (703) 993-8375 or stop by Occoquan room 201.

Q: Who would I contact if I have a question about classroom reservations?

Fairfax--Call the Fairfax Classroom Support Reservations and Information Line at (703) 993-2206, or email ctops@gmu.edu.

Q: Are there assistive listening devices in the classrooms?
A: Yes. Assistive listening devices can be provided for each classroom with 50 seats or more. Contact the Classroom Support Office on each campus for more information http://classtech.gmu.edu/classroomsupport.cfm.
   
Q: Can I use my laptop to teach in the classrooms?
A: Yes. In a general purpose and Smart Classroom, the internet jack is located at the front center of the classroom and is marked with a red tag. In Electronic and Computer Classrooms, each instructor's console has a connection for laptops. These connections also work for Macintosh laptops, however, many Macintosh computers require an adaptor to connect to our systems. Please make sure to bring the adaptors that came with your Mac.
   
Q: Can you fix the temperature in the classrooms if it is too hot or cold?
A: Arlington -- Classroom Support office has no control over climate of the classrooms. You may call Facilities directly at (703) 993-2525 for classroom climate related questions.

Q: How can I get help to use the equipment in the classrooms?
A: Arlington--To arrange for training in advance for your class, please call Al Underwood at (703) 993-9447. The Classroom Support Hotline at (703) 993-8226 (3-8226 from the classroom phone or other campus phone) is available to help with last minute technical issues that may arise in a classroom.

Fairfax--To arrange for training in advance for your class, please call Susan Campbell at (703) 993-3424. The Classroom Support Hotline at (703) 993-3456 (3-3456 from the classroom phone or other campus phone) is available to help with last minute technical issues that may arise in a classroom.

Prince William--To arrange for training in advance for your class, please call Rick Reo at (703) 993-8536. The Classroom Support Hotline at (703) 993-8499 (3-8499 from the classroom phone or other campus phone) is available to help with last minute technical issues that may arise in a classroom.
   
Q: How much is the charge for printing in the classrooms?
A: Currently, the charge is 7 cents per page. For more information you may contact Print Services at (703) 993-2550.
